ANCHOR
Something in you is usually arguing with something else: what you want against what you know is right, what's easy against what actually matters. Peace can feel like the one voice you never get to hear clearly.
SCRIPTURE TEXT
"Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful... And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." — Colossians 3:15, 17 (NIV)

TENSION
Paul calls peace something that “rules,” an active governor, not a passive absence of conflict. We tend to think of peace as what's left once the noise goes away. Paul describes it as something with authority, meant to actually adjudicate between competing internal voices, not just quiet them. He extends that same peace into “whatever you do” too, not reserved for crisis moments or quiet devotional time, but governing ordinary action, word and deed alike. The ruling isn't occasional. It's meant to be constant enough to touch the smallest task.
REFLECT
What decision or tension are you currently letting anything but Christ's peace rule over: fear, image, an old grievance, exhaustion?
PRAYER
There's a lot competing for authority in my heart right now, and peace isn't usually winning. Take the seat that fear and exhaustion have been sitting in. Let Your peace actually govern, not just visit, in the big decision I'm facing, and in the small everyday ones too. Amen.
