ANCHOR
You have a rescue story. Something happened to you once that you didn't manufacture your way out of — somebody or something intervened. And there's a good chance you've told it fewer times than it deserves.
SCRIPTURE TEXT
"Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story — those he redeemed from the hand of the foe." — Psalm 107:1-2 (NIV)

TENSION
Notice this isn't a private feeling — it's a command to speak. “Let the redeemed... tell their story” isn't decoration on top of gratitude; it's the instruction itself. The psalm assumes silence is the default and testimony takes actual effort to produce. It's addressed specifically to “the redeemed” — meaning if you've been rescued, this line was written to you, by name category, not in general. This also opens the entire psalm — meaning everything that follows, storm, chains, desert, exists in service of getting people to actually say what happened, out loud.
REFLECT
What's a specific way God got you out of something that you've never actually said out loud to another person, the way this verse asks you to?
PRAYER
I have a story I don't tell enough — the time You got me out of something I couldn't get out of on my own. I don't know why I stay quiet about it more than loud about it. Give me the nerve to actually tell it, out loud, to somebody who needs to hear that You do this. You were good to me then. Say so through me now. Amen.
